A selection of clips from previous public speaking gigs, videos and guest podcasts.
This episode from August 2025, with our friends at www.advisoranalysts.com cuts through the polished, picture-perfect version of leadership you usually see online and gets real about what’s actually happening behind the scenes. Mark Robinson, known as The Shitty Leadership Guy, pulls no punches as he digs into the messy truths of leadership—the fears, the blind spots, and the bad habits too many leaders ignore.
Through stories from his own leadership journey, Mark exposes the chaos that comes from performative leadership, the dangers of micromanagement disguised as “excellence,” and the myth that good leaders always have all the answers. He takes on the Dunning-Kruger effect in leadership, the damage poor communication causes, and why trying to be everyone’s buddy rarely ends well.
This isn’t another fluffy “how to lead” conversation—it’s a straight-talking, no-BS look at what happens when ego and fear run the show, and what real self-reflection can do to change it. If you’re tired of leadership advice that feels fake or sugar-coated, this episode will give you the raw, honest perspective you’ve been waiting for.

One of the Firsts
One of my first recorded webinars when I was consulting in the UK, hence the old UK email address. We've moved from the focus on the Ego Continuum and more to the Shitty Leadership Revolution of today. Consider this as you 48 minute introduction into what this is all about - and this only covers the first two books - lots more to come. Enjoy!
Effective Feedback Delivery
How do you like to be led and How do you like to receive feedback? Ask your staff these questions, make note of their responses, and then provide that - congratulations - you're not making their one-on-ones about YOU.
Leadership Sustainability
In 2022, I submitted my entry in a public speaking competition and this was my initial entry. I was accepted and made it to the semi-finals. It was a great and humbling experience and there's some nice little nuggets in here that are still very applicable today.
